The art process for The Long Way, The Slow Way started around the summer of 2021 and it took us around six months to realize the first idea was the best one. This is a record about listening to music in parking lots that's meant to be listened to in parking lots. The pieces fell into place after that.

We wanted the art to invoke the feeling of places connected by long stretches of highway dotted with strip malls and parking lots that become places to gather when you have nowhere else to go. That’s most of the United States. Florida’s happen to house open-air laundromats and this one happened to be across the street from a bowling alley that Keegan and Levi would visit every time one of their brothers graduated high school.
